INTRODUCTION

White Lion Lodge is a privately owned property situated within the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve which lies on Route 62 between Montaque and Barrydale. Sanbona constitutes of more than 54 000 ha of undulating mountains and plains, indigenous flora and fauna, rock formations and rock art. It is also home to the only free self sustaining White Lions in the world, the Big Five and the endangered riveriene rabbit!

White Lion Lodge lies in the southern part of the Reserve and is set along a tranquil, remote Klein Kalkoens River Valley offering an ultimate Karoo experience. The design is inspired by the landscape, with emphasis on natural materials, thatch, timber, Karoo stone and hand painted fabrics. The unique lodge offers four individually stilled glass and thatch suites, the perfect place for the sole use of a group up to eight guests.

An interactive kitchen allow for intimate and informal dining and a 15 meter sparkling rim flow swimming pool invites guests to relax in the afternoon. One of the highlights at White Lion Lodge is the sunrise and sunset drives across the vast and magnificent landscape of the Klein Karoo. It is an environment for rediscovering creativity, regenerating energy, weddings, romantic hideaways, mini conferences and more!
